Astrojax-Sets
The Astrojax Plus is the best version for beginners and those who like body and rebound tricks. The Plus consists of a central metal weight surrounded by soft polyurethane foam. Because of the soft outer layer it is also ideal for learning new tricks.
The Plus is the only Astrojax that allows for the play of every trick because some rebound and body tricks are not possible with the other versions. However, the rim of the bore is vulnerable to wear for certain high-friction / high-abrasion tricks.
The Plus is available in blue or red and you can choose between buying the normal version (right) that contains a Docking Station or the Jewel Box Edition (left) where the Jewel Box is used to store your Astrojax. |

The Astrojax Saturn has a hard, transparent polycarbonate shell and interior LED lights, providing for some great light effects in the dark. Each ball has a different colored LED (red, yellow and green). The lights can be set to continuous mode or disco (i.e., strobe) mode.
You can choose between three different colors for the band around the equator of the balls: orange, purple or green.
The Saturn is packaged in the classical version with Docking Station (left) or the Jewel Box Edition (right).

The Blue Diamond is a version of the Saturn with very bright blue LEDs. In fact they are so bright that the lights are easily visible even in the day. The Blue Diamond comes with an orange string that is sensitive to black light. Each ball has a blue band around the equator. The LEDs can be set to a continuous mode or a disco (i.e., strobe) mode. |

 |
The V-Max Astrojax balls also have hard, translucent polycarbonate shells. Because of this they can slide along the string faster than the Plus-Astrojax allowing for faster maneuvers (although this may not be noticeable to beginners). They are available in the colors Citrus Yellow, Ruby Red, and Ice Blue, and have a silver band around the equator.
V-Max Astrojax are well-suited for tunes because the upper and lower shell are held together with removable screws. Thus, different colored shells can be combined in one ball. They are also tunable with the clear Saturn shells.
V-Max Astrojax are also packaged in the classic version (left) or the Jewel Box Edition (right). |

The Aquas are the next generation of Astrojax. Instead of having a central weight, they are filled with water that flows around the bore to dynamically lower the moment of inertia.
The Aqua balls are larger than the ones of other Astrojax. The string is held in place with a string bud that allows for quick changes of the length of the string. |

 |
|
Three different versions of Astrojax Aqua are available:
Blue, Shiva and Glow (glows in the dark). Both Shiva and Glow are sensitive to black light.
All come with an additional string bud and a different colored, extra long replacement string. |

Astrojax Tuning
Four Tuning Kits are available. All feature two balls, a pin popper for removing and reinserting the pins of the end balls, two pins, and three strings.
The Plus Tuning Kit contains a yellow and a green ball.
The V-Max Tuning Kit contains a Special Edition Orange and a Special Edition Purple Astrojax ball.
The normal Saturn tuning kit (red) contains two balls with yellow, red, or green LEDs.
The Special Edition Saturn Tuning Kit (blue) features two new balls: One with white LEDs and a silver band, and one with a slightly different blue LED and a blue band. |
|
|
The Imagine Special Edition Balls are individual V-Max balls. The upper hemispheres are translucent, the lower ones are chrome-covered. The Imagine balls may be used for tuning V-Maxes or Saturn Astrojax. |
 |
 |
The Pin Pop Set contains a pin popper, four pins and three strings. With the pin popper you can remove and reinsert the pins from the endballs to tune your own Astrojax (i.e., mix and match different balls and strings or even to tune individual balls with different hemispheres).
The Pin Pop Set is currently not available in North America. |

Accessories
Instead of carrying your Astrojax around in the Docking Station you can also store them in a Jewel Box. When purchased separately, they are available in three colors: blue, red, and yellow. If you buy a new set of Astrojax in a Jewel Box, then the Jewel Box is clear (see above).
Jewel Boxes can be tuned, i.e., differing color top and bottom parts may be mixed and matched.

|
|
The Saturn Energy Pack contains six 1.5V/R41 batteries. This is enough for THREE Saturn balls (since each ball contains two batteries) or TWO Blue Diamond balls (since each Blue Diamond ball contains three batteries). |

Training Tools
There are two Training CDs available. The first Training CD features basic tricks for getting started playing Astrojax and will take you up to a level where you can develop your own tricks. The second Training CD features advanced tricks based upon those presented in the first Training CD. If you master most of the tricks in the second CD you will be a fairly impressive player. Both CDs have additional features like player videos.
When watching the tricks you can choose between normal, slow-motion and frame-by-frame viewing. You can also watch the tricks being played backwards. |
|
|
The Astrojax Trickbook comes in handy when there is no computer nearby to pop in the Training CDs. It features a fairly basic selection of Astrojax tricks and some ideas for playing Astrojax with several people.
Since it was published in the year 2000, it is more of a collector's item today.
